Friday 30th October, 2020
Fly from Newcastle on either our early morning or mid afternoon flights. Arrive Melbourne and transfer to our hotel (Note: Early morning flight subject to airline schedules and availability). Stay 5 nights Rydges Melbourne in the heart of all the CBD action. Includes full buffet breakfasts daily.This evening perhaps get into “racing mode’ by enjoying an ale in our hotel bar, the nearby Elephant and Castle or any number of quirky local bars.

Saturday 31st October, 2020
AAMI VICTORIA DERBY DAY
This day is considered by racing purists as our best day of thoroughbred racing… featuring nine Group races, four at the elite Group 1 level. Transfers are organised to Flemington Racecourse, and we’ll enjoy all the race day action from our reserved seats in front of the Winning Post. Tonight you may wish to sample one of many nearby Chinatown restaurants or Greek, Italian and German options… again all within an easy stroll from our hotel.

Sunday 1st November, 2020
A chance to seek out the many interesting shops in and around Bourke St Mall, marvel at the bargains along Bridge Rd`s factory outlets, or browse for an outfit amongst the many trendy boutiques of Chapel Street. This evening enjoy our Gala Cup function. Drinks, nibbles, sweeps and more. Always a highlight and eagerly awaited by everyone each year.

Monday 2nd November, 2020
Calling of the Card (optional) See the early bets taken and Cup market set at Crown Casino Ballroom. Includes lunch, beverages and entertainment. Alternatively, the traditional Lexus Melbourne Cup Parade takes place from noon down Swanston Street, finishing at Federation Square.

Tuesday 3rd November, 2020
LEXUS MELBOURNE CUP DAY
“The race that stops a nation™” is the greatest day on the Aussie sporting and social calendar – where everyone, young and old, stops to enjoy our unique national tradition. Again we transfer you to enjoy our reserved seats in front of the Winning Post to witness the world’s richest handicap turf race.

Wednesday 4th November, 2020
Transfer back to Melbourne Airport for our lunchtime flight to Newcastle.
