The NTIA is Australia’s leading travel industry event of the year celebrating the travel industry’s achievements and congratulating those companies who have excelled in travel. Other winners on the night included Qantas (Best Domestic Airline), Emirates (Best International Airline), APT were the big winners on the night with 3 awards (Best Cruise Operator International, Best Tour Operator Domestic and International) and our franchisor helloworld won Best Travel Agency Group beating other notable finalists including Flight Centre, Escape Travel, and Travellers Choice.

HTG was the only Newcastle-based travel company selected as a finalist in its category from a national field of contenders, and is the first regional agent to win this top honour in more than 12 years.
HTG was founded in Newcastle in 1999 and is now one of Australia’s largest privately owned travel agency groups. With more than 100 employees, it has offices at Belmont, Charlestown, Glendale, Green Hills East Maitland, Kotara, Port Macquarie, Toronto, a head office location at Wickham (Newcastle), a groups & events travel division, Great Events, at Wickham and cruise specialist agency, Cruise Travel Centre, at Westfield Kotara. It also jointly owns eight travel centres in Tasmania with the Royal Automobile Club of Tasmania (RACT).
HTG’s nine agencies in the Hunter recently transitioned to the helloworld brand. Created by Helloworld Limited (formerly Jetset Travelworld Limited) the new, unified brand, is designed to bring together travel agency franchisees to create an extensive retail network and provide customers with access to talented travel professionals and the best travel technology.
